GENTLE chill YOGA - This class offers non-strenuous, slower-paced, well measured stretches: 9AM Friday
YOGA FLOW All Levels - Poses run together and become like a dance. VINYASA FLOW where classes are energetic, flowing, synchronizing breath with movement. Build strength, flexibility, and concentration. Cleanse the body and calm the mind. This class does not follow a set sequence of postures. Each class is unique and will vary from teacher to teacher. You can always expect a great workout combined with breath work (pranayama). 9am Tues & Thurs
DEEP / HATHA flow MIX- for practitioners of all levels mixed with traditional Hatha principles, explore fundamentals from a variety of yoga styles, from ashtanga to restorative, as well as pranayama (breath exercises) to deepen, to build strength and restfulness in your yogic experience. Expect to hold the asanas as you flow effortlessly with the breath. DEEP yoga is focused stretching that allows muscles to relax and lengthen, which puts less strain on the skeletal system and reduces tension throughout the body. It is a slow-paced style with postures, or asanas, that are held for longer periods of time.

POWER based on ASHTANGA (Primary and UP) - Ashtanga is a system of yoga transmitted to the modern world by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois (1915-2009). This method of yoga involves synchronizing the breath with a progressive series of postures - a process producing intense internal heat and a profuse, purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs. The result is improved circulation, a light and strong body, and a calm mind: 5:30pm Wednesday
BASICS & BEYOND - not offered currently The basic postures are presented in challenging ways with a focus on the fundamentals of yoga. Classes address the needs of students who are new to yoga or those who might even have an advanced practice. Be prepared with adjustments and the use of props for proper alignment. Don’t let the name fool you, you might sweat and work harder.

Meet Henna Fuller, owner of NKCYOGA and Cultural Wanderer

It was curiosity on 'what's going on on that mat with my body moving on it' and the invitation of her husband, Steve that led Henna to yoga. What truly brought her to commit is the fluidity, the grace and the athleticism of the asanas and what inspired her first is how it opens the body and mind in a natural and healthy way. She practiced almost every day for years, here and overseas, and such helped her train her mind to be present, focused and equanimous regardless of the inevitable vicissitudes of life. She believes that gaining control of the nervous system is something one can master. Henna is twice a certified Ashtanga teacher. She took her first intensive Ashtanga Yoga Teachers Training in June 2002 with master yoga practitioner, Mr Doug Swenson (www.sadhanayogachi.com or www.dougswenson.net). In August 2008, Henna finished the Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training with one of Kansas City's Ashtanga founders, Kathleen Kastner (and Wade Mortenson). She attended the 2018 International Yoga Confluence in San Diego with master teachers in Ashtanga. In May 2005, she completed her Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training with the renowned Mr Max Strom (www.maxstrom.com) and in 2012, Henna completed her Kundalini & Children's Teacher Training under Shakta Kaur Khalsa. Henna has done workshops like anatomy / adjustments and cues etc. She has been practicing for 20 years and teaching for over 16.
Henna owns nKCYOGA and CULTURAL WANDERER and seriously loves to travel. She has been to 281 (MTP List) and 143 (TCC List) of countries and territories and has started holding TOURS overseas; the website of which is www.culturalwanderer.com
