CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
GENTLE YOGA - This class offers non-strenuous, slower-paced, well measured stretches.
BASICS & BEYOND - The basic postures are presented in challenging ways with a focus on the fundamentals of yoga. Classes address the needs of students who are new to yoga or those who might even have an advanced practice. Be prepared with adjustments and the use of props for proper alignment. Don’t let the name fool you, you might sweat and work harder.
DEEP STRETCH for all practitioners - Focused stretching allows muscles to relax and lengthen, which puts less strain on the skeletal system and reduces tension throughout the body. It is a slow-paced style of yoga with postures, or asanas, that are held for longer periods of time.
DEEP YOGA - Basic to challenging poses of which are held longer taken into considerations the necessary steps or tools to help you go deep in your physical 'asana' practice.

YOGA FLOW All Levels / VINYASA - Poses run together and become like a dance. VINYASA FLOW -Vinyasa classes are energetic, flowing classes synchronizing breath with movement. Build strength, flexibility, and concentration. Cleanse the body and calm the mind. Vinyasa classes do not follow a set sequence of postures. Each class is unique and will vary from teacher to teacher. You can always expect a great workout combined with breath work (pranayama).
HATHA MIX - HATHA MIX:
"Hatha Mix" classes are adaptable for practitioners of all levels at noon Wednesdays and Fridays. Join Annie and "strive for five": (5) namaskars (sun/moon salutations) will be offered, in addition to a five-minute period of constructive rest at the close of each 45 to 50-minute flow. Mixed with traditional Hatha principles, explore fundamentals from a variety of yoga styles, from ashtanga to restorative, as well as pranayama (breath exercises) to deepen your yogic experience. Find both strength and restfulness through this all levels practice designed to strengthen your core and more optimally align your spine. "Take five" to quiet your mind, and open your heart.
POWER / ASHTANGA (Primary) Emphasis - Ashtanga is a system of yoga transmitted to the modern world by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois (1915-2009). This method of yoga involves synchronizing the breath with a progressive series of postures - a process producing intense internal heat and a profuse, purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs. The result is improved circulation, a light and strong body, and a calm mind.
