HENNA A FULLER It was curiosity on 'what's going on on that mat with my body moving on it' and the invitation of her husband, Steve that led Henna to yoga. What truly brought her to commit is the fluidity, the grace and the athleticism of the asanas and what inspired her first is how it opens the body and mind in a natural and healthy way. She practiced almost every day for years, here and overseas, and such helped her train her mind to be present, focused and equanimous regardless of the inevitable vicissitudes of life. She believes that gaining control of the nervous system is something one can master.
Henna is twice a certified Ashtanga teacher. She took her first Ashtanga Yoga Teachers Training in June 2002 with master yoga practitioner, Mr Doug Swenson (www.sadhanayogachi.com or www.dougswenson.net). In August 2008, Henna finished the Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training with one of Kansas City's Ashtanga founders, Kathleen Kastner (and Wade Mortenson). In May 2005, she completed her Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training with the renowned Mr Max Strom (www.maxstrom.com) and in 2012, Henna completed her Kundalini & Children's Teacher Training under Shakta Kaur Khalsa. Henna has done workshops like anatomy, etc. She has been practicing and teaching for over 16 years.
Henna owns nKCYOGA and seriously loves to travel. She has been to over 117 countries and self-governing territories and has started holding YOGA RETREATS overseas.
She began practicing almost two decades ago, after a car accident. Yoga has helped her heal and that is what she hopes to bring to others through yoga.
Annie also discovered that, like the healing process, yoga takes practice. For years she enjoyed a home practice, practicing at the time/place she wanted and focusing on the areas she wanted to strengthen or relieve.
While going through teacher training this year, she rediscovered the communal benefits of yoga as 'it is healing to practice with others.' She learned so much from other practitioners and she loved the community spirit yoga fosters.
Her training is in hatha yoga, and it is heavily inluenced by Darren Rhodes' Yoga Hour philosophy. She learned from Candace Glass, of Southtown Yoga in St. Louis, and both Ellen Niedringhaus and Sarah Edwards, of Bluebird Yoga in St. Charles. They were wonderful teachers and helped her learn how very much she has to learn.
JOIN her every 10am Wednesday Gentle Yoga, 6:45pm Thursday Lunar Flow and every other Friday 12Noon Yoga Flow.

COLETTE MYERS RYT 200 is on maternity leave
Colette took her first yoga class in 2007 while enrolled in undergrad school at Northwest Missouri State University, but it wasn’t until 2009 when she fell in love with the practice. Since then she’s had a regular yoga practice attending classes in studios across Kansas City. Yoga helped Colette develop a deeper appreciation for her body as well as feeling more connected to her spirit. In 2014 she made the decision that she wanted to share the many benefits of yoga with everyone and she began to substitute classes at her home studio. She completed her 200 RYT Designation through Jennifer Kailytyka at Boulevard Yoga in Kansas City Missouri. Colette has a strong Vinyasa and Ashtanga practice but she also enjoys taking restorative classes to help her feel more rejuvenated. Her classes offer a strong Vinyasa flow, breaking down each pose, giving plenty adjustments and challenges making the class accessible to everyone at every level. Her class will have you breaking a sweat and feeling great!
SHANE SIMONS A newly certified teacher, Shane substitutes regularly.
GENTLE YOGA - This class offers non-strenuous, slower-paced, well measured stretches.
YOGA FLOW All Levels / VINYASA - Poses run together and become like a dance. VINYASA FLOW -Vinyasa classes are energetic, flowing classes synchronizing breath with movement. Build strength, flexibility, and concentration. Cleanse the body and calm the mind. Vinyasa classes do not follow a set sequence of postures. Each class is unique and will vary from teacher to teacher. You can always expect a great workout combined with breath work (pranayama).
ASHTANGA (Primary) - is a system of yoga transmitted to the modern world by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois (1915-2009). This method of yoga involves synchronizing the breath with a progressive series of postures - a process producing intense internal heat and a profuse, purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs. The result is improved circulation, a light and strong body, and a calm mind.
MORNING FLOW- A beautiful way to wake up your body, mind and spirit. You will be guided with sun salutations and gentle backbends and more to perk up your entire day!
DEEP YOGA - Poses are held longer taken into considerations the necessary steps or tools to help you go deep in your physical 'asana' practice.
BASICS & BEYOND - The basic postures are presented in challenging ways with a focus on the fundamentals of yoga. Classes address the needs of students who are new to yoga or those who might even have an advanced practice. Be prepared to hold the poses for a period of time with the use of props for proper alignment. Don’t let the name fool you, you will sweat and work hard.
